1/4TH   BATTALION Alexandra,  Princess   of   Wales's   Own YORKSHIRE   REGIMENT Attestation Form - 3 Years with the Colours. Isaac Dobson, an ironstone miner from Lingdale, N Yorks was enlisted in the Field Artillery, discharged and re-enlisted in the 4th Yorks Battalion. He was killed on the 16th September 1916 at Martinpuich, Somme.
