The Arras Memorial.
Situated in the Faubourg D'Amiens Cemetery in the West of Arras town.
It commemorates around 35,000 servicemen of Britain and the Commonwealth who were killed in the area and have no known grave.

Pte Fred Dutton.

1334/200091 Pte Dutton Fred. Home at 20 Camden St, Middlesbrough, N Yorks, place of birth and enlistment. Aged 21. In 1911 he was a domestic gardener. One of 6 brothers who fought. Two others fell:-
225856 Pte George Dutton, 7th Bn East Yorks, died aged 19 on 6th July 1918 and buried St Sever Cemetery, Rouen.
9329 L/Sgt Harry Dutton, 15th Bn Northumberland Fus, discharged with gunshot wound and Malaria. Died one month later on the 8th March 1918. Harry had served with the 4th Yorks Bn before the War and been discharged in 1913, when his term of enlistment ended.

Pte W T Earnshaw.

203132 Pte Earnshaw William, Thomas. Born and enlisted at Middlesbrough, N Yorks. He was aged 19 and up to enlisting was employed for one and a half years in the Chief Mechanical Engineers Department of the North Eastern Railway Company as a carriage cleaner at Middlesbrough.
260029 Pte Faulkner Albert. Born in Manchester and enlisted at Birkenhead.
201637 Pte Fraser Edward, William. Enlisted at Middlesbrough, N Yorks.
235140 Pte Gillis Joseph. Enlisted at Sunderland, Co Durham. Age 24.
7611/203021 Pte Gillson Sidney. Home at Tulbourne Cambs, place of birth. Enlisted at Cambridge. All four sons of the family died in the First War.
